Actress Teri Hatcher Reveals “I have a real Super Bowl Ring”

November 27, 2014

Although she was a cheerleader for the 49ers, and may have received a cheerleaders version, Teri was later given a player’s version ring. Here’s How she got it…

San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl XXIX Ring

Steve Young … Jerry Rice … a few Super Bowl ring collectors I know….. and Teri Hatcher — they ALL have Super Bowl XXIX championship rings — even though a few of them, (including Teri) wasn’t actually on the team.

The former “Lois & Clark” star was actually a cheerleader for the 49ers during their 1984 championship run, but in the video you can watch below, she explains why she was allowed to enjoy the spoils of victory when the team beat the Chargers 10 seasons later.

There’s a reference in the video about wearing orange (it’s not about loyalty to a team), Teri just returned from New York where she gave a speech to the U.N. about eliminating domestic violence — and encouraged people to wear orange … the official color to unite women against Domestic Violence.

Here’s the video:

Please remember, I buy Super Bowl rings, I’d even buy Teri’s. You wish to sell any championship rings, please contact me.

A Beautiful Girl and Her Five Super Bowl Rings

November 13, 2014

Recently this photo was seen on twitter, a lucky gal showing off the five San Francisco 49er Super Bowl rings.

5 San Francisco 49er Super Bowl rings

How would you like to wrap your hands around those babies? Sorry, I’m a married man, so obviously I am talking about the five super bowl rings.

Looks like your typical corporate trade-show, and with some boxes seen in the background, perhaps it was time to set up the booth (the tag around her neck lead to my assumptions).

These championship rings probably belong to Dwight Clark (another assumption on my part). Dwight makes the rounds at a lot of corporate events and is famous for allowing fans and championship ring admirers the opportunity to try on his five super bowl rings! Besides, he is one of the very few people who have been awarded five San Francisco Forty Niners Super Bowl rings.

For more information on Dwight Clark and some close ups of his five championship rings, use the search button on the right to bring up previous blogs about him and his Super Bowl rings.

You can also visit the Super Bowl ring gallery, a link can be found from the home page of this site.

Please remember, I’m always buying championship rings and I especially love to buy Super Bowl rings (winning and losing rings). Please remember I don’t sell championship rings and I don’t trade championship rings.

I Want to Buy This Super Bowl Championship Ring!

November 7, 2014

The San Francisco Forty Niners Super Bowl XXIII championship ring from 1988 has eluded me for a long time, but I have the feeling I’m closing in on one.

I want to buy this super bowl ring, who will sell me this super bowl ring

I rarely use this blog as an advertisement, so pardon this interruption instead of a normal blog post.

If anyone reading my championship ring blog wants to sell a Super Bowl XXIII ring please contact me.

I’ll buy this Super Bowl ring, as long as it’s a real ring and not a salesman sample. In fact, I will buy any championship ring, just contact me.

Why am I feeling optimistic about buying this championship ring soon?

I know of a collector who’s selling his collection of championship rings. He supposedly has this ring so hopefully in 2015 we can strike up a deal. Most of his championship rings are not the caliber collectors covert. He has a ton of bowling rings, tiny college rings and that sort of thing, however, he does have a few big-time championship rings for sale.

I also know a non-collector, and we’ve talked over the years of me buying his Super Bowl XXIII championship ring (from a well known player).

Sooner or later I will buy this championship ring. Until then, the fun is in the chase!

Dwight Clark Shows off His Five Amazing Super Bowl Rings And Something Else…

October 21, 2014

The photo on the right reveals something much rarer than five superbowl rings…..

Dwight Clark and his five super bowl championship rings

Dwight Clark is the proud owner of five San Francisco Forty Niners Super Bowl Championship Rings. You can clearly see all five in the photo on the left.

This blog has reviewed each of the five rings, in fact, more than once. For information on each ring please use the search too on the right to search for 49ers championship rings.

What I found very intriguing about the photo on the right, that appeared on Twitter this week, was the custom built, (dare I say, only one in existence) San Francisco 49er Championship ring box, designed to accommodate five super bowl rings!

Since the five super bowl rings were made by Balfour (Superbowl rings XVI and XXIX) and Jostens (Super bowl rings XIX, XXIII and XXIV) it’s highly improbable that either company would make a special presentation box. Besides, championship ring boxes are a pain in the neck to these companies so they subcontract out the making of championship ring boxes to third party companies.

The super bowl ring presentation box was probably made special for Dwight – it has slots for five championship rings and a glass display top with the 49er logo proudly displayed in the center. Glass presentation boxes have become very popular, replacing the old-style solid wood-top presentation boxes. The beauty of the new style presentation boxes is that they allow championship rings to be seen in all their glory while keeping the rings protected from dirt and dust.

By the way, for those keeping track, Dwight won two super bowl rings as a player, and the three later championship rings working in the 49ers front office!

Charles Haley Shows Off His Five Super Bowl Championship Rings

October 20, 2014

Charles Haley is the only person who can say he was awarded five winning Super Bowl rings as a player. Here are those five amazing rings:

Charles Haley and his five Super Bowl Championship Rings

No one else in the history of pro football can make that claim.

Haley won two championship rings from Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl XXIV with the San Francisco 49ers following the 1988 and 1989 seasons, respectively.

After having a conflict with 49ers head coach George Seifert and a physical confrontation with quarterback Steve Young, Haley was traded to the Dallas Cowboys in the 1992 off-season. In Dallas, he won three more Super Bowl rings over the next four seasons: His three Cowboy Super Bowl rings are from 1992 (XXVII), 1993 (XXVIII), and 1995 (XXX).

Although injuries forced his retirement in 1996, he briefly came back for the 1998 playoffs to help the 49ers. He played with them in 1999. Finally out of playing football permanently, Haley turned to assistant coaching, and was a defensive assistant for the Detroit Lions.

In 12 NFL seasons, Haley recorded 100.5 quarterback sacks, two interceptions, and eight fumble recoveries, which he returned for nine yards and a touchdown.

Charles Haley was also selected to play in five Pro Bowls (1988, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995) and was named NFL All-Pro in 1990 and 1994.

Although we have covered Charles Haley and his super bowl rings before, the photo above shows something very interesting that we have not covered: The top of the photo shows on the left, the 49ers, Super Bowl XXIV ring and the Cowboys Super Bowl XXVIII ring. It is remarkable how similar in design these rings are!

The 49ers Super Bowl XXIV ring is a 47 gram, 10K ring made by Jostens. The Cowboys XXVIII ring is 56 grams and is made of 10K gold and was made by Balfour. Both rings share the same pattern of having four large marquis diamonds in a football shaped pattern. The four large diamonds in both rings are symbolizing each team’s fourth World Championship.
