Yesterday was a special day at Yankee Stadium: The Yankees returned to their stadium, and so did this championship ring:

Babe Ruth 1927 Yankees World Series Ring

Nathan, a championship ring enthusiast and friend, was kind enough to send the stunning photo shown above.

The picture shows Babe Ruth’s famed 1927 Yankees World Series ring, that is currently on exhibit at the Yankee Stadium museum, located inside Yankee stadium.

The 1927 Yankee team is considered to be the greatest baseball team of all time.

I believe Ruth’s ’27 ring was not on display in prior seasons at the museum, and this is probably the Ruth Yankee ring that sold at auction in 2017 for over $2 million dollars.

If it is in fact that ring then it was formally owned by Charlie Sheen (besides Babe Ruth back in the day).

It is not unusual for collectors, players and surviving family members, to loan the Yankees their memorabilia for a season or two, and have it displayed at the Stadium museum.

Here’s a close up of the 1927 Ruth World Series ring, cropped and enlarged from the same photo above:
