Searching eBay this morning, there are a few nice championship rings that are priced reasonable. Here’s one to avoid:

Fake 2000 Giants NFC championship ring

An authentic Giants 2000 NFC championship ring is a large, impressive, good-looking championship ring.

Unfortunately, the one shown above, offered on ebay does not appear to be authentic, although the seller states it is.

The seller is asking $5,500.00 and is accepting lower offers. This means, if it’s truly authentic, this player-sized championship ring is priced to move.

The seller claims the championship ring weighs 52 grams, which is heavier than authentic Jostens Giants 2000 championship rings.

On examination of the photos, the rough texture that should appear on the side of authentic championship rings from this year is missing.

The Giants logo on the football helmet is set at an incorrect angle, and the engraving on the NFC trophy, and the “4″ in the “41″ score does not appear correct.

Furthermore, the prongs seem too large, and the prongs at the curve near the bottom of the “y” on top of the championship ring, seem completely wrong.

It’s no wonder an original presentation box is not included with this offer.

This championship ring offering should be avoided.

Please remember as always, I buy championship rings. If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.
