Of all the 1956 Giant Championship Rings to hit the market place, this one is the only one I’ve seen in outstanding condition:

New York Giants 1956 Championship ring

I am not affiliated with this Giants championship ring, or the seller, I’m just here to blog about the world of championship rings.

Every player 1956 Giants championship ring I’ve ever seen that has hit the market place has had wear on the rings – especially the left and right sides of the rings. In fact, most of them have a lot of wear.

The reason for all this wear, is that these championship rings were crafted in 14kt gold – which is softer and much more easily prone to wear than a 10kt solid gold championship ring.

The asking price at $20,000 seems slightly steep, as some of these 1956 Giant championship rings have sold for half of that; however this one is in better shape. And a star player of the team, Jim Katcavage’s ’56 ring almost sold for $20,000 several years back. The seller of this championship ring is accepting “best offers” on the ring.

The championship ring is in such incredible, unworn condition, there is a possibility the original player had another championship ring made, or possibly, he hardly ever wore this ring. The Giant ring does come with paperwork from a major auction company (with an excellent reputation), stating the family states this ring was owned by the original player.

Please remember as always, I buy championship rings. If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.
