It’s been seven long years since former Chicago Bear NFL receiver Willie Gault had his 1985 Super Bowl Ring stolen, but now his championship ring is being returned:

Willie Gault stolen Chicago Bears Super Bowl ring and stolen Super Bowl Raider ring

Gault’s Super Bowl XX ring (also known as the 1985 Super Bowl ring) was stolen from his home on November 8, 2011.

The Los Angeles PD West Valley Burglary and Property Crimes Unit recovered the stolen super bowl ring at a jewelry store in the 700 block of South Broadway within the Jewelry Mart District of Central Division.

That Jewelry store must have had a appetite for stolen jewelry as the LAPD also recovered five stolen watches, and a 1983 Raider’s Super Bowl ring.

The LAPD is trying to locate the rightful owner of the Raider Super Bowl ring. Turns out one of us (a sports memorabilia collector) did the right thing and contacted the West Valley Burglary Detectives and advised them that two stolen Super Bowl rings were for sale at the jewelry store.

The store owner, 46-year-old Ramin Cohan was quickly arrested. His bail was set at $20,000 dollars.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call LAPD West Valley Detective William Dunn at 818-374-7730.

Please remember as always, I buy championship rings (as long as they have solid and proper title proof). If you wish to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.
