Rare Ravens Authentic Salesman Sample Ring for Sale and No Bites

April 30, 2018

The longer I study Championship Rings, and the prices these items bring, the more I realize it’s impossible to pinpoint with accuracy what an item will ultimately sell for in the open market.

Ravens Salesman Sample Super Bowl XXXV ring

Back in November of 2017, I blogged about this rare Ravens Super Bowl ring. Football salesman sample rings, from Superbowls since the 2000 period and more recent, are beyond rare. Jostens and Tiffany simply don’t make too many of them, and in Jostens case, they don’t seem to give them out to their sales-reps.

Many of the ones you see for sale and are proclaimed as authentic salesman sample rings aren’t real. However in this instance, the Ravens Superbowl XXXV ring is a real ring and the price being asked, while much higher than some of those authentic salesman samples from much earlier Super Bowls, is completely justified due to it’s rarity.

Back in the day when that controversial championship ring dealer from Tennessee (by the way his website has disappeared due to non payment issues) would get a late-model Super Bowl salesman sample ring, he would ask around $10,000 or more for it.

So it surprises me that this Ravens salesman sample Super Bowl ring is still for sale. As the photo above shows, the asking price was $5,700.00 with a best offer being accepted, but now is still on eBay with an asking price lowered to $5,400.00 and a best offer option still available.

Anyone wanting a great-looking championship ring at a very fair price, especially Raven’s fans, should bite on this one.

As an added bonus, there are currently two Raven’s authentic championship rings boxes available on eBay which would complement your championship ring purchase quite nicely.

Please note I am not affiliated with the Ravens championship ring or the two championship ring boxes mentioned above.

I buy championship rings. If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.

The Championship Ring Controversy Continues…

April 27, 2018

UCF fans are upset with their former Offensive Coordinator for not buying into Knights’ National Champion theory:

2017 UCF National Championship ring

Newly hired Nebraska Offensive Coordinator Troy Walters, spent his last two seasons as the Offensive Coordinator at UCF, where he helped coach the turnaround that led to UCF going undefeated last season. Because of a couple of tweets this week, he’s managed to upset some UCF fans.

Walters wrote that UCF’s claimed “National Championship” isn’t really an authentic national championship. He accomplished this message by tweeting the photo of the championship ring he received from UCF, which Walters referred to as his “AAC and Peach Bowl championship ring.” Here’s part of that tweet:

“Personally and professionally speaking, I am a national champion when I win the National Championship game,” Walters responded to one fan. “I wish we could have had this opportunity because we were playing at a high level. If someone else wants to proclaim and pay me as a national champion, then that’s on them.”

Walters later released another tweet explaining that he didn’t intend to disrespect anyone at UCF with his original tweet.

Maybe UCF’s “National Championship” ring wasn’t such a good idea after all.

Time For a Face Lift at

April 26, 2018

The dark, dreary colors of burgundy and tan were starting to look depressing on this championship ring blog site, so it was time for a change:

new look at for championship rings

Championship rings are gorgeous and for a long time I wanted to modernized this blog and show off some amazing championship rings in the banner and brighten up the over-all look. After all, that’s why we’re all here – to see and hear about the amazing world of championship rings.

While the daily blog postings have slowed down a little (going from about 5-6 a week, to about 4-5), I’m not going anywhere and hope to continue blogging about the world of championship rings for a very long time.

If you like the new layout and colors, please let me know. And if you don’t like them or have any suggestions on how I can make this blog better, please share your thoughts and ideas.

Meanwhile, as always, please remember, I buy championship rings. If you would like to sell your championship rings in complete privacy, please let me know.

World Series Pendant and Championship Rings Stolen From Frank Viola’s Family

April 25, 2018

Perhaps this is saddest and most disgusting story this blog has ever reported. Hopefully these championship items will be returned to Twin’s-Great Frank Viola’s family:

Frank Viola family championship rings

The photo above shows a championship diamond pendant that matches the top of the World Series ring that was gifted by Frank Viola to his mother-in-law after the Minnesota Twins won the 1987 World Series. That item and other championship rings have been reported stolen.

Kathy Viola, Frank’s wife, tweeted that the pendant was stolen a few days after her mother, Adella Daltas, passed away, reportedly on April 4.

Kathy Viola’s first tweet about the theft occurred on April 9. Then to make matters worse, she tweeted again on April 22, and mentioned that their daughter’s 2012 London Olympics ring, college championship ring, and high school state championship and graduation rings were also taken in the theft.

Perhaps the most sickening part of this story comes from the Star Tribune, which reported that a burglar stole the jewelry from the Viola’s daughter, Brittany, during the funeral.

Brittany Viola was a two-time (2008, 2011) NCAA champion diver at the University of Miami and she competed in the 2012 London Olympics for Team USA.

Frank Viola was the Most Valuable Player of the 1987 World Series and then the following season was awarded the American League Cy Young award when he compiled a 24-7 record and a 2.64 ERA with the Twins.

If anyone has any information on this matter, please contact the police.

Please remember I buy championship rings (never stolen or “found” ones). If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.

Alabama Awarded 2017 Football National Championship Rings

April 24, 2018

Yesterday I blogged about UCF’s controversial National Championship ring. However there’s no debate when it comes to which team received the more impressive championship ring. Check out the Crimson Tides’ new hardware:

Alabama football 2017 national championship ring

Championship ring company Jostens, released a press release yesterday showcasing their magnificent work on the Alabama Football national championship rings.

Jostens in their release was quick to remind everyone that they also created championship rings commemorating Alabama’s historic 2015 football season, in which the Crimson Tide were SEC, CFP, and NFP Champions.

“Jostens is honored to once again partner with the University of Alabama to help celebrate their National Championship victory and capture the story of the team’s 2017 season in a way only Jostens can,” said Chris Poitras, vice president and chief operating officer of the company’s college and professional sports division. “These uniquely handcrafted rings will be a lasting commemoration of the hard work and accomplishments of the Crimson Tide players, coaches, and staff.”

The Tide’s stunning 2017 championship ring features two College Football Playoff trophies, representing their 2015 and 2017 victories, and over 150 total stones; 53 of which line ring’s bottom bezel to represent 53 senior wins. As always, college championship rings are made of non-gold materials and inexpensive man-made imitation diamonds as per the NCAA’s silly-rules about player compensation.

Congratulations to Alabama!

Please remember as always I buy championship rings. If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.
