Perhaps you live near a minor league team, or maybe you’re a fan of the big-league club. A minor league championship ring may just be the ticket for you:

Mets minor league tidewater championship ring

This Mets minor league championship ring caught my eye this week. It’s on eBay and here’s what I like about this championship ring:

  • It’s a great looking championship ring and is adorned in the Mets blue color, and has their iconic logo front and center. Everyone who sees you wearing it will know it’s a Mets ring.

  • Price at $2,995.00, (no lower offers accepted) it’s a heck of a lot less money than a big-league championship ring.

  • This ring was awarded in 1993 and that team was managed by Davey Johnson, who went on to become the manager of the big-league Mets. Johnson won them their last World Series winning ring in 1986.

  • It’s made of solid 10K yellow gold.

  • According to the ebay listing, the championship ring was originally awarded to Herb Simpson, a sports legend in his own right, and founder of the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. He was also the person responsible for starting the funds to bring a baseball team to Tidewater, eventually to become the Tidewater Tides. After he passed, this championship ring was sold in an estate sale.

If you’re a Mets fan, and $2,995.00 is too steep a price, there are two other Mets rings currently on eBay selling for much less money, however, both lack the great Mets logo on the top.

I am not affiliated with this championship ring or the seller, I’m just here to blog about the world of championship rings.

If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me and I will buy your championship ring.
