Here’s a chance to own a 2006 Player-awarded (sought-of) Championship Ring, if you can get past the misrepresentation of the auction house:

Dwyande Wade 2006 Heat Championship ring

Dwyane Wade played a significant role in helping the Heat win the 2006 championship ring shown above.

He led the Heat, down in the finals 2-0, to four straight victories and the NBA title against the Dallas Mavericks. While Wade battled several injuries, he scored 42, 36, 43 and 36 points in the final four games.

After winning his first NBA Championship in 2006, Wade won two more championship rings.

The auction house, Paragon Auctions, boasted that Dwyane ordered extra championship rings as gifts for family members, including his former mother-in-law Darlene Funches.

Paragon auctions has blundered several championship ring descriptions in past auctions, and now once again, got their information woefully wrong. I hope the misinformation in their current auction doesn’t result in a championship ring enthusiast or collector buying this championship ring, thinking they have a player-sized championship ring.

According to Paragon, they state in the auction description “this ring is not a dressed down, front-office version of the Championship ring, but the same EXACT ring presented to Dwyane Wade and other Miami Heat players. This impressive 14-karat white gold size 12 ring is a ginormous 74 grams, containing approximately 150 real individually cut diamonds (5,26 carats.)”.

The statement above is completely erroneous and demonstrates the lack of research Paragon does.

Derek Anderson, was a player on that team but was waved before the championship was won. He received a player size championship ring that weighed 123.6 grams of gold – almost twice as heavy as the one Paragon is claiming is player sized.

I can’t stress enough the importance of research when buying championship rings. There’s a tremendous amount of misinformation out there.

Meanwhile, please remember as always, I buy championship rings. If you would like to do a private deal, and keep your privacy, please contact me about selling your championship ring.
