The Most Expensive Fan Championship Ring Ever

October 31, 2016

It’s only fitting that the Cavaliers new gigantic championship ring, begets the largest fan ring ever made:

2015-2016 Cleveland Cavaliers Fan Championship Rings

Fans can now order their own 2015-2016 Cavaliers Championship Ring directly from the team.

The fan championship ring, as shown above, is manufactured by the same ring company that designed and manufactured the player’s new championship rings.

If you have $11,999.00, you can purchase your very own Cavaliers championship ring. No word if the ring comes with a fancy presentation box or if your last name will be featured on the side. The fan version, is made in 10kt and 14kt gold and comes packed with 3.5 carats diamonds.

Although the fan championship ring is huge and will look stunning on your finger, keep in mind that the players championship rings are substantially larger.

The player’s version comes in 14K gold and almost double – 6.5 carats of diamonds. While the player championship rings weigh 165 grams, look for the fan ring to probably weigh about half (that’s just an educated guess on my part).

How large is a player ring at 165 grams? Remember the huge Patriot Super Bowl rings? They weigh on average about 100 grams, so the Cavs 2015-2016 championship rings are more than 50% larger and heavier!

The player Cavs championship rings, as shown below, unlike the fan version, contain diamonds inside the “World Champions” lettering. Many of the other features associated with the player rings probably have not been incorporated into the fans rings.

DeMarcus Ware’s Stolen Super Bowl Ring Is Recovered

October 28, 2016

The huge championship ring was reunited with Ware after two alleged burglars are captured:

Besides the 2015 Super Bowl ring, other items were stolen from Ware’s home; however the police caught the thieves and were able to recover everything that was taken.

The capture was relatively easy thanks to hidden cameras located inside Ware’s home.

Ware had tweeted about the robbery “After a great win, came home to find my house was robbed. Never about the material things for me but my safety. Thank God for hidden cameras.”

Suspects Billy McCaslin, 40, and 31-year-old Sergio Irreza, as shown above, were the perpetrators.

Ware has been healing from a bone fracture and has not played a football game since the second week of the season. He’s expected to be return sometime this season.

Glad he has his magnificint Super Bowl ring as shown below, is back in his possession.

The Cavs Championship Ring And It’s Symbolisms

October 27, 2016

This championship ring has design features never seen before. Here are details:

Cleveland Cavaliers 2015-2016 championship ring

Top of the championship ring:

  • “WORLD CHAMPIONS” in 14K yellow gold. Each letter contains diamonds and the ring has a total of 216 diamonds that represent Cleveland’s phone area code and also pays tribute to their postseason mantra: #ALLin216.

  • Cavaliers “C” made up of custom cut dark garnet wrapping around the iconic Larry O’Brien trophy, which is also made of solid 14K yellow gold.

  • The black color that outlines the “C” logo represents the black sleeved jerseys the Cavs wore in Games 5 and 7.

  • The championship ring contains a single one carat brilliant diamond atop the trophy for Cavs’, and represents the team’s first NBA title in franchise history.

  • There are 100 diamonds in the background to showcase the number of Cavs playoff victories in franchise history to win a title.

  • To the left and right of the inner circle are 46 diamonds that represent the 46 years the team has been in existence.

The Left and Right sides of the championship ring:

  • The player’s jersey number in 14K yellow gold and diamond divider. The banner drops down to display the Cleveland skyline and connection between the city and the team.

  • Underneath the bridge is LII (52) to symbolize the end of Cleveland’s 52 year championship drought and that the curse is wisely noted as “water under the bridge.”

  • Below the city skyline is “CLE” in 14K yellow gold.

  • The player’s name in 14K yellow gold.

  • Winning year of 2016 with “0″ nicely replaced by the iconic NBA logo.

  • State of Ohio encrusted with 11 diamond to represent the number of years the team has been owned by Dan Gilbert.

Interior and bottom of the championship ring:

  • At the start of the Playoffs, each player was given one piece of a 16 piece puzzle that represented the number of wins necessary for a championship. When fully assembled, piece-by-piece following every victory, it would form the image of the Larry O’Brien trophy. A 14K yellow gold custom symbol depicting each players individual puzzle piece is embedded to personalize each ring.

  • A round black diamond is a symbol of the positive impact of the team’s sleeved black uniforms.

  • There are seven stones, sequenced in the order of wins and loses in the NBA finals. This is without a doubt a championship ring first! See this below:

  • Cavaliers Awarded Their 2015-2016 Championship Rings

    October 26, 2016

The Championship Rings are stunning and reference their 3-1 comeback in the finals:

The Cavaliers received their championship rings on Tuesday night; and then raised their first championship banner.

The Cavs new championship rings that were designed and manufactured are truly stunning. As championship rings grow larger and larger all the time, we tend to use the same words to describe them a lot, but this particular championship ring is the largest ever!

The championship rings contain 6.5 carats of diamonds and weigh more than any other championship ring to date (over 165 grams).

At more than 165 grams, that’s about four times the weight (and size) of championship rings from the 1960s and 1970s.

Kay Jewelers designed the rings, and the inside contains features I’ve never seen before in a championship ring as shown below:

Congratulations to the Cleveland Cavaliers on their magnificent championship rings!

Fake 1961 Yankee World Series Ring In Auction

    October 25, 2016

Here’s a championship ring disaster waiting to happen for an uneducated buyer:

1961 Yankees World Series Ring, Bill Skowron

In one of those, live auction, but you can also bid for it on ebay, type auctions, here’s a 1961 World Series Yankee player ring that is a fake.

While it is obvious to a championship ring collector, someone will inevitably purchase the championship ring and one day realize when they go to sell it, they got a replica.

How do I know this World Series ring is not an authentic, Balfour made championship ring?

The first of two giveaways is the numerical engraving found on the sides of this World Series ring. Check out the “quality” of the 1961 numbering, especially the fourth and final digit:

1961 Yankees World Series Ring, Bill Skowron

I wonder if the seller would claim that the poor quality digits is a result of “wear” on the ring. I can tell you, it’s not.

The second clue that this is not a Balfour ring is how the last name “Skowron” is engraved inside the World Series ring (see below).

1961 Yankees World Series Ring, Bill Skowron

Balfour, the original maker of this championship ring does not engrave last names like the example shown above.

This championship ring supposedly comes from Bill Skowron’s son and comes with all kinds of papers proving this.

However, as championship ring collectors know, sometimes, players have copies made. And when I use the word copies, many times, including this time, the copy is not made by Balfour.

This particular ring, judging by the “1961″ as shown above, leaves a lot to be desired and is far from the quality and beauty of the original Balfour ring.

Please remember, I buy original championship rings, not replicas, copies or salesman samples. If you would like to sell your championship ring in complete privacy, please contact me.
