When the Packers won Super Bowl XLV they awarded a special Super Bowl ring to their shareholders:

Green Bay Packers Super Bowl rings

The Green Bay Packers are the only major league sports team in the U.S. that’s owned by shareholders. They are a public company, unlike the other NFL teams that are typically owned by a single family or a partnership.

Owning shares in the Packers organization does not give the shareholders many special privileges other than a great looking stock certificate, suitable for framing.

However, the Packers did reward their shareholders something special back in 2010 when the team won their last super bowl.

Working with Jostens, the Packers designed and sold shareholders a special Super bowl ring. The championship ring shown above on the left could be ordered through Jostens if you were a shareholder. The gorgeous Super Bowl ring was made with the recipient’s last name engraved on the side of the ring just like the players version.

Keep in mind that the two Super Bowl rings shown above (the left one is the shareholder’s championship ring, the right one a player’s) are not shown to scale. The player’s Super Bowl ring is substantially larger, contains more diamonds (including four large ones for each Super Bowl victory the team has won), and is made of solid platinum which is more costly than gold.

The shareholders ring was made of 10K solid white gold and contains real diamonds.

Great job by the Packers to allow their shareholders to own a real championship ring!

Please remember, I buy championship rings so if you would like to sell your championship ring privately please contact me.
