The FSU Seminoles received two beautiful championship rings this week.   Here they are:

2014 Florida State University Seminoles Championship Rings

While the championship rings are really neat, FSU can’t be thrilled with the way the 2014 season turned out.

Florida State entered the 2014 season as the defending National Champions.

Things were looking good for the Seminoles, who ended their regular season as the only team from a power conference without a loss.   Unfortunately for them, they did not go undefeated, and finished the season with a 13–1 record.

The Seminoles won the ACC Atlantic Division for the sixth time, and the championship ring on the right celebrates this accomplishment.

The team advanced to their fifth conference championship game, where they defeated Georgia Tech to win their fifteenth football conference title.   Florida State was selected to play in the inaugural College Football Playoff series but lost to Oregon in the semifinal, played at the Rose Bowl.

With a birth in the new College Football playoff series, the team earned the championship ring shown on the left.

Both championship rings are made of non gold metal and imitation diamonds (thanks to the silly NCAA rules regarding the value of championship rings for amateur athletes).

That loss snapped the Seminoles’ impressive 29 game winning streak and ended their hopes of a second consecutive National Championship.

As well all know, starting quarterback and 2013 Heisman Trophy award winner, Jameis Winston was the first pick, going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL 2014 Draft.

Please remember, I buy championship rings. Please let me know if you would like to discuss selling your championship rings.
